STATINS

November 13, 2016-The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force released today a final recom-mendation statement on statin use for the primary prevention of cardiovascular disease in adults. The Task Force found that statin use is beneficial for some people ages 40 to 75 years who are at increased risk for cardiovascular disease, but did not find enough evidence to recommend for or against statin use for people older than age 75 years.

Did you know? EvergreenHealth's library is fully-digital

Because you are reading this, you know we have a library. But did you know that it is a fully-digital library? Once a “brick and mortar” library, in 2012 we transitioned to digital and continue to build our collection, which contains a wealth of journals, e-books, databases and more.

Earlier this year, we purchased a tool that makes it even easier for you to search for and obtain items from our library. This tool, EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS), has been affectionately termed the “Google for our Library”. EDS collects all library resources into one centralized site for searching and aids in self-retrieval by providing PDFs and direct hyperlinks to our content.
